A TV program from the early 60s featuring Julius Baker, Vladimir Sokoloff & David Soyer (cellist of the Guarneri Quartet) in a program of the Poulenc Flute Sonata - at the time a brand new piece! - and the Villa Lobos Jet Whistle.
Apologies for the audio quality. A problem from the 8 mm master.
Perfect technique. Perfect tone.

Where on earth did you ever find this? Julius is so young(of course, it was the 603!)he is barely recognizable! Great to hear a recording of the Poulenc before all the preconceptions about how it should be done came about!
