@tjandmal I went a little crazy with my engine mods. You can do a 1uz-fe and keep the auto transmission connected to make your life much easier. You NEED to learn how to weld it you want to do this. Or have someone that can do it for you. Hiring someone to do it - that hasn't done it before - is just not going to happen. I've seen some people on forums do it with handtools outside in the cold in a month.

how hard was that swap wiring and engine trans mount wise?
crownviclvr 1 week ago
@crownviclvr It's really hard to make the engine wiring from scratch to connect to the aftermarket engine computer that I used. Then you have to program it which is difficult also. I wired a stock ECU to a 1UZ in a truck which was easy. Mounts are easy and enjoyable for me to fab. If you can measure, weld a little and have a decent imagination then making them isn't hard at all. I can make some for a truck in 5 hrs. Fourwheelforum has all the details.

Nicely done man. I love that powdercoating. What's that wissle at 1/8 of throttle? I got a similar sound on mine but its commin from the computer. Haha, thats weird i know. Saw you on yotatech.

@DaveLag84 Hey dude, that little whistle is the idle controller at a certain position in response to the throttle cracking open. They are noisy when you omit all the factory air intake tubes that have the baffles in them. I wish the whistle was the turbo. :-) Someday maybe.

@casmitherz I had 2 T28 on the shelf from my 300zx blown engine and i sold them for 300$ Why keep spares when you can upgrade? I kinda regret now lol.

@DaveLag84 Hah I'll take the cash. You can get cheap turbos all over now. New or used the prices have dropped quite a bit since the last time I was into a turbo project. Just have some cash on hand and you can get anything you want cheap... when someone else needs the money!
