idk if you've ever even been to afghanistan but two things

1) in september 2010 afghanistan was the 2nd poorest country in the world; they have NO oil.

2) afghanistan is a shithole country, no man coming from america would ever colonize there.

@uberpunk1 No problem. Ecclesiastes 3:3: a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build... I won't post the whole chapter, but even the context is implying that yeah, there is a time to kill, but not nearly as often as it's happening in this world. By the way, just living peacefully, peaceably, and in genuine love and compassion for others is MORE than going to another country to serve.....unless of course you're doing it over there.

@exemptshrimp1 Not to start a fight but we have more then enough oil to take care of ourselfs for generations and then there are the reservs in Alaska that they wont touch because of the wildlife, if we really needed oil then we would use it. I have high ranked friends in the Military so I know that is not y we are there.

God bless the US soldiers. As wrong as killing and war is, it has to be done. Sad as it is we're not all going to Heaven. God has a plan his name is Jesus. Pray for our Soldiers safe return cause they're not fighting for your family to go to Heaven but for your children's right to read about Christ and decide for themselves which way they are going. Being a soldier isn't about ourselves, its about our families, our neighbors, about people we've never meet. Its about the kids of tomorrow.

You are so correct. Afghanistan has no oil  but is rich in other natural resources if the Afghans would take advantage of it instead of relying on growing opium and killing each other. Also, 80% of the population is illiterate. Dirt, dust, mud and fecal matter in the air. Why would anyone want to rule over that country? But Afghans I've encountered are not as ignorant as this exemptshrimp1 individual.
