Her vibrato sounds like Leslie Uggams'.... I don't particularly like it. I heard Mazzie at Sonheim's birthday concert, where she sang "Losing My Mind" (a GREAT song); every time she belted in chest, she was painfully FLAT.... She turned in a VERY disappointing performance. A member of the orchestra said he thought she'd been ill -- perhaps that's why she didn't sing well. (As you would expect, the musicians were keenly aware of her pitch problems.)

I've been a big fan of Marin Mazzie's since RAGTIME. Before she even opened her mouth to sing I thought, "She looks AMAZING!" I didn't know this song before seeing this performance. Marin is absolutely delightful.
