Direct Note Access is a technology that makes the impossible possible: for the first time in audio recording history you can identify and edit individual notes within polyphonic audio material.

The unique access that Melodyne affords to pitch, timing, note lengths and other parameters of melodic notes will now also be afforded to individual notes within chords.

  • Interesting.

I wonder if they could take an entire song and break it up into tracks (drums, vocals, etc) and then do the harmonic manipulation as shown in this video.

  • im looking into how to get a baseline in the song long black train........I looked every where but with no success

  • woooooooooooooooowwwww i'm think i'm gonna cum ahhhhhh

  • I wonder if it will work with two instruments in the recording playing the same note... Can't see how that will work unless it can distinguish tone colour... Still possibly the most amazing software I have ever seen!

  • Nooooo way.... If this is fake, kill me. Please.

  • Wow, this is hard to believe. If it works as well in the real world as it does in the demo my head will explode.

I look forward to seeing this in person :) it looks like an amazing tool.
