This is a video I put together of the Nasser Era Egypt, with the Nasser Era national anthem, Wallah Zaman Ya Selahi sung by Oum Kalthoum. It is a rare song to find, and I hope you all like it.

  • thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it

  • ...

i'm not a 100% sure and i could be wrong, but something up there sounded as if you were insulting egyptians as well as sadat because of the peace treaty we're in. of course i dont have to ask if your egyptian cuz its obvious your not. no egyptian i've met would say this, or be this blind to what really happened.

  • I just want to say that Sadat is not a perfect person, and people are welcome to dislike him or disagree with him if they wish. We shouldnt be upset with disagreements. I appreciate your comments though, and the brother who disagrees with sadat may or may not be egyptian, its totally fine to disagree with decissions taken by Sadat.

    Salaam

  • Dear friends,

    America is not our enemy,

    We want democracy and FREEDOM.

  • I think Egypt could become again to be a superpower , we first we must get rid of the Salafists before it s too late , before they destroy us , we the Coptic Christians must take over the streets and say enough is enough, I really hope that our people will be FREE one day without fascists salafists trying to kill us just because we are Christians. As Salam u Aleikum.

  • I Didnt want to ofend anyone , and I wanna say hello to all the Christian coptic friends that we have in Egypt and they are suffering repression because salafist radical fascists , to our brothers in faith in Jesus I say to them may God (Jesus) bless you all , long live Egypt and his people!!!

  • Hello my friends all Sadat was an evil Dictator,

God bless America and Israel too..

  • @slimarab23

I wasn't upset that he insulted Sadat. I was upset that he insulted Egyptians who are " cowards to accept this peace which is a surrender... "

I assumed he wasn't Egyptian because I refuse to believe an Egyptian would be so ignorant of his country's past and of the war of 6th of october specifically.

Of course some people disagree with Sadat, the guy was not a saint. There were some factions in Egypt who didn't like him...like the ekhwan.

um been a while so had to reread my comments... where did you find me saying that " they hate egypt because they criticize sadat ".

Ignoring the comment about the song, this leaves with the other one. Which i could only assume was a reply to someone blasting egyptians (and not sadat mind you) for the peace treaty.

Btw, read ' oldfighter542 ' <-- that guy's comment. then tell me if you really think that guy loves Egypt.

    Idiot

  • @firegoat

Sadat was autocratic and narcist. i don't say this because i have a political agenda, it's the truth, and you have no right to tell others that they hate egypt because they criticize sadat.
