So how do you do that? ... how to flash the bios ... Say the computer have being cleaned (i.e. all disc partitiions deleted and new, clean one created) new windows is installed ... how do you disable the lojack? Thanks!
its not iron clad all they have to do is flash the bios or replace it and lojack is jacked up. and you ppl are so stupid dont you get it all the tracking its just "big brother" keeping tabs on you so he knows what list to put you on. wake up sheeple.
When ordering from Dell, you receive your notebook and you receive the LoJack software in separate box. You install the software, register on the LoJack site and create a profile page. At some point in this installation registration process information is stored in the bios.
The system will ping the Lojack servers secretly on a periodic basis.
If the notebook is stolen, you immediately report it to Lojack and file a police report, the pinging frequency increases.
Correct. The advantage of the Dell systems is that portions of the LoJack software are embedded in the BIOS during installation allowing it to survive OS drive formatting and OS reinstalls, increasing the chances of recovery.
Actually no they are not Dell does not make good quality products. HP or Toshiba if you are looking for a laptop and for desktops it doesn't matter who you go to.

You do not have to go through dell to get this product. You can go right through the lojack for laptop website.
