We need to vote Conaway out of office next time. This guy just isn't all there. He mentioned today that 'Just like when we got Saddam Hussein, killing Bin Laden will not be the end of Terrorism.Say what?Saddam Hussein didn't have any links at all w/Bin Ladin/Taliban/Al Queda/Saudi Arabia or anyone else that attacked us on 9/11 It amazes me that someone holding office in our state is out of touch w/facts. What a stupid statement for a sitting Congressman to make. Our state should feel embarassement

Yup.
The US is royally screwed unless it gets money out of politics. That means publicly funded elections, and prohibiting campaign contributions from corporations and unions. It also means that there should be limits on corporations saturating the airwaves with propaganda commercials without some critically important info. on who is running the ads.

Once again:
GOP - run by corporations & the wealthy, supported by the gullible and stupid

Many times the minority is in the right. Think of the founders of this nation.Thank goodness for Mike Conaway who works tirelessly to represent the people of his district. Would that the foul mouthed responders would stop the inane thoughts that fill their brain long enough to listen to reason. Only our votes and a return to the values that our forefathers held true can save us from the mess that we are in.

I think the American people do not mind paying taxes for good health care. The problem is that the private health care companies do not like that because they will not have control to get richer and the government will be watching them. Corporate bussiness is the ones running this country. The other countries are just laughing at us. It is sad because in the beginning the government was build by the people and for the people not the corporate monsters.

I do not think this person should of said in this way but I think that the private insurance companies dragged this country down too. I am glad that people like Conaway are watching our backs.

The real, main reason to vote against this bill is because it is a prime example of Socialism. Our country was neither founded on, nor intended to be, a Socialist country. The government is already too big, and this will only add to its size.
I will not even mention the probability that this bill is unconstitutional.
Rep. Conaway, thank you for representing the values of your constituency.

Right on Mike. Go get'm! Dont' pass this or Cap and Trade. Voted for you, Kay and John. Keep up the good work.

I will not be happy to pay for some lazy woman who won't bother to get on birth control to murder her baby . I am not a child killer and do not intend to support one. Enough said !

What a stupid bunch of folks with these posts below which is more than obvious with your choice of language. You expect a free ride, you never take responsibility for anything including paying your own way on health insurance, you expect to get everything for free - that system doesn't work any more than you likely do. The democrats are playing politics you fool, you think they care about your lazy rear end! Shame on you.
A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.

Yet another liberal who thinks that the government is the answer to all the problems in the world.
Time to wake up megarational. While our health care system is not perfect, it is the best in the world.
The wastes of medicare will be multiplied by this legislation!
HC Reform is needed but not like this. The proposed changes that Rep. Conaway supports is the correct way to go about this.
