  • O MY GAWD!!!! This vid is epic to the absolute max & faved!!!!! I so dig the Texas Eagle shot in the begenning!!! Its nuts how that Texas Eagle train does not have a baggage car.

Its also nuts how fast the trains go through this area.

  • @CoastStarlight11

Thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

  • Awesome video, I liked seeing the SP SD40T-2, and the UP SD40-2's on the intermodal, always nice to see older power leading

  • Thanks, yeah I got really lucky that day. The best part of all though was getting that Leslie RS3L on the C40-8 at the end of the video. That horn has been virtually eradicated from UP's locomotives, I wonder if 9171 still has her RS3L today or if they have replaced it with a Nathan by now. And to think that the RS3L was standard on nearly all UP locomotives only a decade ago, UP never should have done away with them.

  • yup great older power , great spot for railfanin! all this its just one day of railfanin?? how long u where there??

  • Yep, that's all in about 4 hours of railfanning. Eight trains in four hours = about one train every half hour. It depends on what day and the time of day you catch this line. Sometimes you can go two or three hours and not see anything if you catch it during what I call the "dead block" hours. I got lucky that day.
