The is the first tribute slideshow with the song "Holding Out for a Hero" with a touch of humor. I had to have some humor to help get me through my husband's tour in Afghanistan Jan-Aug 2006.This was put together from pictures taken in Afghanistan. Thank you to our brave Canadian Soldiers.

We sure have come a long way (was 2PPCLI Korea) (Kappyong) 15 months - my home for six months were bunkers and slit trenches, C rations, a single shot .303 rifle, enemy attacking en masse at nights, artillery/mortars rained down on us. No beer, no baths, no johns, one blanket, mail once a month. 1 week leave to Tokyo every six months - made it all worth while. Sure wish I was young again - I'd join you guys.
