"Wade in the Water" is the name of an African-American spiritual first published in New Jubilee Songs as Sung by the Fisk Jubilee Singers (1901) by John Wesley Work II and his brother, Frederick J. Work. This song is about the Israelites escape out of Egypt, as told in the book of Exodus, and healing as told in the book of John. Just enjoy it!

Racism is one race preventing another from participating in all areas of human activity. Prejudice is, well... Prejudice. I am doing neither. I said she sings well for a White person, which is a compliment. Black people seem to have something in us that lets us sing with more passion and sing with more depth. But that's common knowledge. She's kind of almost sings like a good Black singer.
