I'm on the final stage right now, and it's just soooooo goddamn hard. It takes about 3 minutes for me to get to the last section with the cannonballs, and they kill me in about 2 seconds. How am I supposed to practice and try to figure out the patterns if it takes so long to get there?

I think there's a practice mode where you can choose which part of the stage you can start at specific checkpoints. Try that.

I've just played Ghost Castle 1 (I had the game as a kid, lost it, bought another one just recently for the memories) and it's insanely hard. The way you did it, you are absolute badass.
