Double acting i.e. :two solenoids alternately pulling down pistons to work the cranks on the shaft and then spin the flywheel.

  • @100roberthenry I'ts a model of a machine made in 1840 to power other machines a replacement for steam engines. It never achieved success as the more efficient rotary electric motor took over. Regards tronpas999

  • Hi, mascobe the rod that slides thru' the solenoid is 3/8 inch mild steel rod. It was scrap in my parts bin, so I found some ali-tube that was a good sliding fit for it. Plastic tube would do as well. Best regards tronps999

  • Hi Kntryhart thanks for your comments. I had no idea until I looked at You Tube that so many people are interested in electro-mechanical devices. I like your pulse motor, at the moment I am building a Bedina motor, is yours the same. I would like to know the resistance of the coil. My trigger winding is 24 ohms and charging winding 12 ohms.   • I see a great deal of potential in this motor. I also see the use on a crank trigger and frictionless pistons in coil cylinders. Very little need for counter balancing. Also the power out put to power in put ratio looks like it could be very very good too. It looks like you could have a winner on your hands with this thing. You should build a bigger - stronger version and perfect it.

  • it looks like the momentum of the idk (can i call it flywheel, or internal wheel)is straining the actuaters
