What do you mean by the transmission cutting out why does it do that
-
how the fuck did that operator get that excavator stuck in that pit? hope he got fired he probably water locked the engine
-
Had a D8 transmission cut out on a slope like that once. Nothing else there to pull it out. Put the ripper down to hold the back end and kept picking the blade up and down. Enough movement that the machine would move down hill when the tracks were off the ground then the blade would move down hill when it was picked up. Once it was pointed down hill, the transmission would engage.

a real operator knows when to stop. dumb asses go one step farther

@matthewbattenfelder9 it's hard to swim in mud which is what it was when the komatsu went down, good old river mud. the front glass caved in and held the track controls, they were running under the mud, the mud was over the key and he couldn't cut it off, when he stepped out, the track almost pulled him under the machine, that would have been fatal.........
If you are not an operator by the time you get to the swamp, it will make you one by the time you are done there.

@Michaelgrammer89 people who think they can operate heavy equipment the best in the world fall flat on their face in the swamp, very well said

why would you try to pull out the dozer with your tracks sideways you got more power if you keep the parelle to the dozer
LyssaGagne 8 months ago
@LyssaGagne because when you've got worn out rails that will come off so easy, you can't walk it on a slope because you will be putting tracks back on
