  • just curious, whats the name of this song? it sounds familiar

  • it's called "departure". it's from titanic. I felt it worked well for the video.

  • This is odd, I've been to DC many many times and I have never seen this memorial. I can see is close to the Washington's monumet but at what side?. I remember they were doing some works around it at the opposite side from the Lincoln Memorial but I thought it was repairs. Is that it??

  • yeah, it's in between the washington monument and the lincoln memorial. right next to the reflecting pool. it's been there for awhile.

  • Im so interested in ww2!!!!!!! i have many books about it.

  • awesome man, it's a fascinating subject. if you're interested in the whole war and like to watch veteran interviews then check out the WWII videos I have. You'll love em.

  • Great tribute! I am proud to say that my son, a professional stonecarver, did some of the work on this Memorial. He even added the Kilroy inscription, hidden near the back, in an alcove. If you check out my videos, you can see a short clip of it. I know that not many people know this reminder of WWII is even on the Memorial. Thanks for the great video and thank you for helping us to remember all the sacrifices made for our freedom.

  • sounds like ur really into world war two emotionally. check out my world war 2 veterans comemoration video.

  • I'm just realling interested in it. I find that whole time period fascinating so I try to find as many first-hand experiences from vets as I can seeing how so many vets are passing away.

  • Cool vid. Are you a WWII colector/historian, or are you just really interested in it.
