Jacob's inn has just closed down.

That's a pity. I loved this place. What the hell happened ?

@sffilk The only thing that can stop a bag snatcher from grabbing your bag and running off with it is a very good grip and constant vigilance or a pair of cheap handcuffs for a couple of euros. Thanks for your attempt at advice but handcuffs were the only solution for what I was looking for. You don't kick someone out of your hotel on a whim.

@spacemooseireland I don't personally have one, but if you go to the dreaded ebay, put in as your search "laptop lock." There were a couple hundred of them.

@sffilk I exactly is a computer lock type mechanism, is it good for securing your computer laptop case from a bag snatcher. Please describe exactly what it is.

@spacemooseireland Not taking sides, but would it not have been better to ask where there was a computer shop to find something a little more computer-related? I know for instance, that most computer shops have a lock-type mechanism to keep your laptop secured. Handcuffs might have seemed to be a bit extreme. Did you explain what you needed the cuffs for to the lady at the front desk?

@sffilk What I think happened was that they needed an extra bed to get a group in so they needed someone to kick out. I had been looking for a set of handcuffs to use with my laptop case so it couldn't get grabbed by someone while I was walking down the street. Their excuse for kicking me out was that I had asked the lady at the front desk where the nearest sex shop was and that was me being abusive to one of thier staff (The lady had not minded me asking at the time. ).

Just got back and I loved it. If you got any sort of problem with its probably your own fault. Its great place, friendly staff and everything you need in Dublin is almost around the corner.

If you take my comments off this video I will be making time to send this place to court a lot sooner. I have all the proof I need I just need to make the time to do it and then it will be fun grinding this place in to the mud.
