Smaller than Texas, that's for sure. Seriously though, I didn't mean to suggest that there was something bad about Europe, only that the airspace is very crowded, much like the North Eastern US. It is hard for people who haven't flown a moder jet fighter to understand just how much area it takes to maneuver. A simple loop can take 3km to complete, a formation rejoin 15km. Air refueling tracks can be 100-200km, thats a lot of space where the biggest country (France is less than 5 times that.

@captwildbilly this is not fake: 5 countries of EU (Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands) and Switzerland have an agreement (FABEC) to share practice area in civil and military fields. These images are from a movie, that's why quality of textures is improved, but not fake. Kind regards.
