This was originally broadcast in late 1992 on Much Music in Canada. Includes Canadian interviews spanning U2's entire career and one with the Edge and Adam Clayton (The Canadian National Exhibition (the CNE) is the backdrop, the scene of the Toronto stop of the Outside Broadcast tour in September 1992.) In this special there are live performance clips through the years up to 1992.

  • "And it doesn't."

  • Larry should just stick to "A muscial journey."

  • Edge: "Well, I think what Chris is trying to say is...that those bands became the focus of a generation in a sense. They really represented music for the people who grew up when they were in their heyday. I think we, as a band, have the sort of stability, internally, and the sort of determination and...conscientiousness to be a band of that stature. I think that's what he's getting [at]. I don't know whether I actually agree but that's another thing."

  • I just had to transcribe Edge's answer to Chris Blackwell (Island Records) calling U2 "The Rolling Stones or The Who of the 80s" (7:07). His reply is a model of youthful diplomacy :-)

  • Didn't know they travelled with a vintage 60's Cadillac

  • It differs. I think when he knows he needs to be serious and smart, he is. But go watch Still Haven't Found live from Milan. The whole thing he says before is kind of dumb, and his grammar isn't the greatest!! Haha. But we know he's really intelligent.
