Re: Guitar, Karen, have you ever heard of the CAGED system? You still have to memorize the basic 5 chord shapes (C-A-G-E-D), but once you have this, you can play any chord anywhere on the fretboard. It's all because a keyboard is linear while a fretboard is a grid or matrix.
Loved these lessons! Thanks for posting them on YouTube! :)
what she says about the fact that a dominant seventh chord can ALWAYS be substituted for an augmented triad,is really strange. These two chords are not mutually interchangeable. Try this progression:
Am, Dm, Bb7, E, Am
now play it again, this time playing Bb+ instead of Bb7
Time for a sensible comment from a Scottish admirer. This is without a doubt the best keyboard educational series on Youtube. I have cleared out oll other subscriptions and gone back to the start of your series, last Autumn, am addind to ''favourites, filing under ''music, eye candy'' and working my way forwards.
