It's nice and all that some people diagnosed with autism are not markedly different from neurotypical people. But, a lot of people are. Sugarcoating it does not do anyone any favors. Stephen does not have Aspergers; Aspergers is a whole different animal. When younger, he acted like most children with classic autism do, not as a high-functioning child. He was non-verbal, threw extreme temper tantrums, etc. I think that makes this all the more impressive.

Sigh... I would OWN organic chemistry if I had a memory like this guy!
I've heard of people being a walking encyclopedia, a walking dictionary, even a walking petri dish of STDs...but now, we have witnessed a walking Google Earth! He amazing.
