  • your not me4nt to pick sc4bs c4uses sc4ring

  • Maybe you misread something but I never picked any scabs, what I said was the only blockage was a thick mixture of dried up puss and snot that formed in the inside of my nasal passages, so I used a bright light to get a good view down my nasal passage and I gently used the tweezers to peel it off of my nasal walls several times a day. There were not any scabs to peel that I could even reach.

  • Was your turbinate reduction done via Radiofrequency Ablation?

  • This procedure was done Laparoscopically aka minimally invasive.

  • @mightyPavan2010 empty nose is if you get ur turbinates totally removed I thought....now with a resection or reduction.....i did that neilmed neti pot for a year before the surgery, it actually made my turbinates bigger and I think caused the surgery for me.

  • Remember to see an allergist before attempting turbinate surgery. Those with nasal or sinus issues are recommended to try neilmed sinurinse for at least 3 months before an considering an operation. A complication called EMPTY NOSE SYNDROME MAY OCCUR AS A RESULT OF SURGERY!!

  • yes, ty. I had surgery just last mon. Oct 25- this is exactly how i looked and felt. :( how are you now ?

  • Thanks for posting this. I just had the same procedure done Friday and go Monday for my packing removal. Now I know what to expect!

  • drainage was my worst nightmare when i got mine done the 3rd day was full of sticky blood mixed mucus made me sick and throw up lol

  • Did this one work, and how do you feel.

  • Oh cool, but was your turbinate reduction done via the "slice and dice" method, or Radiofrequency Ablation (or "coblation")? I had coblation done of my turbinates almost 2 weeks ago.
