  • older audio equipment for the most part was in my opinion the best gear that was made.most of my gear is from 1992 and back.

  • @oscilloscopewizard Oh thats cool, I personally like 70's and 80's audio equipment Built like a tank and not made of plastic (for the most part) and the sound is decent too ...... but i suppose that is my opinion on it anyway!!

  • nice looking system.i always liked the older stuff.i have a whole room full of vintage audio gear.your akai has a nice display.

    Today 9-16-2010 i got a akai gx-52 for 20$ and i wonder if you know how to use the timer start (rec-off-play) button ... If you know can you 1) tell me or 2) Give me a web site where i find the user manual. Also MPX Filter serves to ?..I like olsd stuff cause they are quality ( i got a nad amp - nad pre amp - nad cd - akai tape) with jbl l80t and hpm-900 spaekers ..You got a nice video. Thanks if you can help me ..

  • 70s and 80s gear is great stuff,inless of course you get into the sound design crap.sony,technics,jvc,pioneer­,and others from the 70s and 80s was all good gear.the newest set of speakers i have is a set of 1992 cerwin vega vs-120's.the oldest speakers i have is a set of jvc sk-404 speakers from 1982.

    im now in the process of getting a nice older turntable.
