Welcome to Art Historical Tours
We specialize in all-inclusive small group tours. Currently we offer day trips and lectures in the New York area, as well as 12-day tours to Umbria and Tuscany. We are working on offering a tour to Sicily in the coming year.
Our current tour to Tuscany and Umbria in May 2010 is starting to fill, so please contact us for more information, or to reserve your place on the tour.
What we love best about traveling is the opportunity for exploration, the pleasure of wandering the streets of a town without any specific aim or destination. We believe this is best accomplished in smaller groups - the reason we limit our tours to 15 passengers. We find that smaller groups provide a more intimate travel experience, with more individualized attention from our local guides. If you have ever experienced being on a large tour with 25-40 other passengers, and would prefer to avoid that "herd" feeling, this is the tour for you.
Our tours are designed for the independent traveler in mind; we take care of the stress of planning so that you can enjoy your vacation. Most day-trips and excursions are planned to take place from morning to late afternoon, so that the rest of your day can be free and relaxed. While visual art is our theme, various culinary activities and local guided tours are planned to provide a variety of cultural experiences. Two completely free days allow space for individual interests, during which time many of our travelers opt to visit an additional city outside of the original itinerary. Though all scheduled activities are included in the tour package, travelers are always welcome to depart from the scheduled day-trip if an extra free day is desired.
