The point worth making is that a shark is worth very little dead. Sure it can be sold for its, flesh and fins and a shark may be worth 100's of dollars. However alive this shark will bring in 10's perhaps 100's of thousands of dollars in dive tourist revenue during it's life time from scuba divers anxious to see this animal in the water. It is far better for local economies to let this animal live. Shark migrate all over the world bringing money to local diving businesses & people they employ.
