REMIND ME NEVER TO DO THIS KIND OF THING AGAIN! Again, this was a baby bullet trainset that I wanted to skip because it didn't have two bike cars. The video starts off with both trains dimming headlights when approaching each other, and northbound train 379 (cab car #4025 and locomotive #910) came first then my favorite trainset (locomotive #908, cab car #4000, and cab car #4021) comes next as southbound baby bullet 372. It was raining cats and dogs when I took this, and the engineer of the northbound train 379 seemed a bit impatient and ready to leave turning the bell on early and opening the headlights big, and the conductor doesn't let a person in. I was shaking my finger twice, gesturing for the train not to leave yet because there was one more person. After the engineer blew the horn I got mad and flipped the train off. It would have looked like I was flipping off the late passenger or the engineer, who looked irate and gave me a weird look while sticking his head out the window, but I meant to flip off the conductor for not taking a second to let that one person into the train. So I yelled out, "No! not you!" to the engineer but as train 379 left I started laughing because it was funny that he thought I flipped him off. The southbound train 372 leaves as soon as train 379 was out of sight, and after that the guy who missed his train and I waited for train 277, which came five minutes later.

  • ?These dont look like baby bullet trains.

  • @dancena2 It's express service that Caltrain calls "Baby bullet" because traditionally "Baby Bullet Express" were often served by Bombardier trainsets, which look like bullet trains even though they're not, and because they only stop at the most major and popular stations. They use their typical and older stainless steel gallery trainsets for Baby Bullet Express Service as well, or if they don't have enough equipment.

  • It sure looked as if you were giving the engineer the finger, where was the conductor at where you would be aiming your middle finger upwards towards the engineers direction? LOL!

  • @NARSConductor Who cares? Too late now lol. Both have to take the blame for leaving that one guy behind and shutting the door in his face and allowing him to stand out there in the pouring rain. So what if they're gonna need an extra 1 minute?

  • Serves that moron right, he should have been there on time to catch his train...

  • @tristatelocoworks I bet it sucks for him for not being there soon enough so he gets to wait in the rain lol. Shouldn't be too sympathetic about that.

  • 雨降ってますね。 お疲れ様です。

    客車を先頭にして走るのが珍しいです。

  • What a fucking asshole this person is taking the video!

  • What's with the psychotic laughter?

  • The people can wait like everyone else if the trains were to do this @ every stop think how delayed they would be

  • @caltrainfan I know for sure that Caltrain uses gallery sets on some baby bullet express trains on purpose, particularly the two-bike car ones, because the baby bullet trains are often crowded, especially that almost all of them go from/to SF, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and SJ, which attract lots of bike passengers. In addition the gallery sets have more room for bikes than the five Bombardier sets do. In the Bombardier bike cars, you have to keep trying to wiggle your bike in and out of the rack

  • @dancena2 Caltrain doesn't always have the Bombardier sets used for Baby Bullet service, since there is only 5 of them and 22 baby bullet services a day. So Caltrain uses anything available.
