    Romans 1:20

That will shed some light on the subject.

ALL will stand before JESUS on the day of judgement, you can say you were a 'catholic priest' meaning you were a 'religious' ritual follower.

Accepting JESUS has NOTHING to do with religion period.

    Please pray for this man.

Three synoptic gospels written by different authors using similar language seems like pretty reliable to me, compared to the single accounts we usually have in history. Surely you can't be so dense as to not understand the point of his supposed encouragement of hatred towards member's of one's own family. Jesus went to great lengths to avoid his movement becoming a political one, which is what denunciations of slavery would be in the first century. Not denouncing is not the same as condoning.

It isn't fictitious. It is the good news of Jesus life and sacrifice. Yeah, I think it is an amazing story. I don't think he created us with the sins, he created us capable of sinning. I don't see the OT god as evil or murdering, as any life we have belongs to him, we live at his sufferance or permission. The Holy Spirit is just God's spirit, an aspect of him, not a different God.

Well, if you can't trust it to be accurate or true, what's the point? What's good news when it's entirely fictitious? You really think that a vengeful, murdering, jealous, evil god turning himself into his own son to take on the sins he created you with onto himself is an amazing story? Wait Christianity isn't polytheistic? The chistian trinity is itself tri-theistic. Not to mention the fact that the god of the old testament mentions other gods.

We have no reliable evidence of what Jesus said or did nor of the purposes of his actions, whatever they were. He reportedly threatened eternal torture for not believing in him--an infinitely unjust punishment. He reportedly made extravagant claims about the power of prayer that were obviously false and impossible. He reportedly encouraged hatred toward members of one's own family. He reportedly condoned slavery. He reportedly said the world would end within the lifetimes of his contemporaries.

Considering that the Bible is without any relevance or value, there's no meaning interpreting it.

Science and virtually everything we know about history contradict the Bible.

And by the way, I'm not a child.

Just using words like "authoritative" shows the wrong mindset. The New Testament is just an announcement of good news. It tells us of Jesus, his life, death and sacrifice for us. His story is amazing, and it either touches your heart of it doesn't. I believe it because it all rings true to me. The story of his life, his teachings, they all make sense. The other major religions have things that disqualify them in my eyes, for some that is polytheism; for others it is reincarnation.

Hahaha, you can really spin it can't you? Anyway, why do you thin the bible is accurate or authoritative in the first place? Do you believe in every other religion that has just as much evidence?
