How about a wire protector? How about first using the front channel of the crimping tool to give the crimp bead a nice oval shape to fit it easier into the back channel? Kind of shallow and unprofessional. After crimping it's flat as you said instead of making a nice four time folded shape to be able to hide it perfectly under a crimp cover.

Love the vids, and love that Southern accent...perky!

This helped so much! I'm supposed to be doing a beading project with about 30 kids and I had to learn how to crimp.

How is this a "beading basics tutorial"? She starts out talking about tools and beads and terms that I have no idea what they are or how they work... A basic tutorial should include things like explanations about terms and tools.

@SENSUALBLISSINSFL Tho' I'm not the instructor or associated with her, I'd suggest finding a craft or bead store near you that has classes or even open studio time -- they might let you try out some tools if you make a purchase of other beads. The smaller stores, especially -- like if you can talk to the owner -- should be happy to.

Wow that's way simpler than I thought it would be! I love crafting small objects, always have, and I think I want to make something like this for my mom for Christmas. Thanks for the video!

Thank you, I always wanted to make jewelry. I have a sterling silver bracelet w/BALI style beads that no longer fits me.I want to re-make it myself to fit the size I am now by stringing them and & a few more beads. Now I know what the crimping beads are used for :). Since I do not how far this will take me, must I buy all those pliers at first? I sort of want to see how it goes with my first bracelet before spending too much money on tools. What size of wire is best to use for durability?
