@wildwildwest1414 A Hyena would tear a Pitbull apart. Hyena's weigh up to 90kg and are built with deep muscle and strong necks to protect them against bites from other predators. Their muscles also power the strongest jaws of any land animal. They have incredible stamina and when cornered will fight to the death.

Hyenas are just scary animals. Most animals know that Hyenas rarely give up, their stamina, strong jaws and team work make the formidable predators. They may not have tried to kill any Hippo but biting them and screaming at them was obviously enough to scare them away. Would you run from a group of hungry Hyenas?

Those were probably pygmy hippos, a smaller, much less violent species of hippopotamidae. If they were normal hippos, well lets just say that those hyenas wouldn't be laughing for long. The videos on my right are proof of that.

Hippos adults about measure 1.50 m high and 4.5 meters in length weighing up to four tonnes (the third largest land mammal), hyenas adults weigh up to 80 kg and measuring up to 1,5 meter long, the hippos of video will still grow a lot, the hippo is an extremely strong animal, the canine teeth of hippos are of continued growth and can reach 60cm in length, lives immersed in rivers and lakes more feeds on in ground and reaches a speed of up to 55 km/h. These video hippos are young and very young.
