@HotProperty83 they're american/candian/european Magpies australian magpies are in the same grouping of them (others include hawks, eagles, crows, ravens, magpies, emus and many other carnivorous and omnivorous birds)

The cat is treating the birds like it would treat an annoying juvenile cat: lots of warnings followed by "just forget it, I'm out."
The cat didn't feel like it was under any serious attack, and the birds looked more like they were stealing fur.
