I ESTIMATE the top speed of my Revo to be over 60mph with this set-up. This estimate is based on the top speed of a stock Revo 3.3 being 45+mph with a TRX 3.3 engine and 15/38 gearing. My Revo now has a more powerful engine than a 3.3 (Picco .26 Max), a THS tuned pipe that produces more top end than the stock pipe, and 20/34 gearing. 20/34 is 48.8% taller than 15/38.
1.488 x 45mph = 66.96mph
Other variables come into play such as aerodynamics, bearing drag, rotating mass, etc. I think it's safe to say that it should top 60mph with this set-up AFTER taking those variables into account. Once I get the Picco P3 .28 and 22/34 gearing installed, I will be able to get accurate speeds because I now have a Bushnell radar gun. Keep an eye out for that video! Thanks for watching and check out some of my other videos!

  • @computerguy787 Savage all the way! It is a much more durable platform. The Revo is too "toyish".

  • @RM250D8rzr I tried the RRP steel gear kit, but it made the Revo slower due to more rotating mass. I also snapped a primary shaft in the transmission, which cost me ~$25 to replace. I sold the steel gears and went back to the stock plastic ones. I only stripped a plastic trans gear twice, and they are about $5 each, so stick with plastic. I would recommend using a steel spur gear though. Plastic ones strip too easily. They get really hot at these speeds.

  • @mstreamer9991 LOL. Bullet rocks!

  • @CARDUDE143 Nitro engine superchargers don't work! They just make the engine run lean, which kills the piston and sleeve quicker! A better way to spend $150 would be to have the engine professionally modified.

  • @shredordieman It uses model engine fuel, which contains Nitromethane.

  • @RM250D8rzr It should be about the same. 5-10 gallons of fuel depending on how you tune the engine. I never kept an engine for more than 3 gallons of fuel anyways, so I wouldn't know for sure! lol.

  • @crazybearrc No. The 3.3 doesn't have enough torque to pull gearing that high. I never hit 60 with this Revo. I got a radar gun after making this video. The fastest this truck ever went was 54mph with a Picco. 28 in it. A modified Big block engine is the only way to get it to break 60.

  • @IbzSolja1 It requires only a $20 mount made for this engine only to drop it into the Revo chassis.

  • @nitroghost666 The Picco .26 is a "mid block" engine. It was designed specifically for the Revo and requires only a different mount to drop into the Revo Chassis.
