The world is a Les Miserables. There is a Jean Valjean, a Marius, a Fantine, a Cosette, an Eponine, a Javert, Thenardiers, a Gavroche, an Eljoras among us. The only difference is the stage is bigger, the characters are the 99 percent who numbers occupy the many places of this planet.

Sing this at wall street

Certainly a good song to choose for this - too bad it didn't work, those pesky government people don't give a crap about music. Sucks for them.
-
Well, looks like the songs didn't cut it. You have to actually shut down the economy to have an impact.

It's awesome that they did this in Madison! Notice how the news never covered this part of it? Just the petty 'They left adhesive on the walls' bull
-
@wirchrick why didnt you put these in the description?
-
@MsOrkid just as a point of clarification, this is about an uprising in the early 1800's, not the 1700's french Revolution.
-
@langlade100 Actually, for what it's worth, the novel (and musical) refer to the Uprising of 1832 (The June Rebellion), not 1848.

Some people are just a bit keen.

Re: the failed revolution - have you been to France lately? They lost a battle, but not the war. When we learn that life isn't only about the last, or next 15 minutes, we'll be a little more confident that Good can, and often does triumph ;-)
You know in three weeks of protests we've heard songs and speeches from tens of thousands, but not one person has brandished a gun and yelled for the murder of that douche, Walker. Funny isn't it how differently intelligent people respond to genuine oppression?

@snakedoc67 Fighting against a tyrannical plutocracy is communism? If so, give me a red flag and call me comrade.
