(By http://rawstory.com ) Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has signaled with the creation of his Freedom First PAC that he has his eye on the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, however, believes that far from making him a credible candidate, the list of Pawlenty's consultants and strategists represents "a who's who of some of the worst Republican scandals of the past decade."

Maddow pointed in particular to Pawlenty senior advisor Terry Nelson, a former deputy chief of staff at the Republican National Committee "known for being the guy in charge when the infamous New England phone-jamming case went down."

  • We should never underestimate the level of ignorance that exists within the average American voter.

  • The Public Option is not dead. 3 out of 4 bills being considered still include the public option. Please make your calls. If you need the numbers I have them on my profile. Be sure to check the comment section for petitions and other ways you can get involved. I even have 1-800 numbers for those who don't have long distance. Thank you.

  • Allways a joy to watch Rachel kicking ass.

  • Is there contempt of court in a congressional hearing? All I heard her was refusing to speak because she had sworn to serve the president. Which means that he was involved in it up to his eyebrows and that it was all questionable.

    Criminals. Incompetent ones, too.

  • I know the far right never does. And it seems to work for them.

  • Strategists? Remember a time when we dispensed with niceties and euphemisms and just called them crooks?

  • TPaw would be 10X worse than Dubya, He's a snake in the grass don't beleive a word he says, He broke the state of Mn. Roads are junk and the bridges are falling down, Remember I35 bridge, But all his rich buddies made out great from the TPaw tax plan, He won't carry his own state when he runs, Only the Bachman lovers will vote for him

  • These strategists may eventually get fired when the public gets upset enough about some of their underhanded tactics, but in the meantime, their outrageous campaigns do influence enough voters to chip away at an honest candidate's lead. It only takes one untrue but damning rumor to change the course of the election, and if the guilty party is not obligated to appologize and confess to the public, he is getting away with it even if he gets fired.

  • Agreed but don't forget who he caters to. They're coo coo for coco puffs too.

  • Tim Pawlenty is coo-coo anyway. He is not worth an ink smear on a voting ballot!
