Old Otis Hydraulic elevator @ Crestwood Plaza St. Louis Missouri

now THIS is a vintage elevator!! Late 50s completely original with the exception of the electric eye. Crestwood plaza holds a special place in my heart as I shopped here quite a bit as a child and i bought my Hitachi TV from Sears and Roebuck in 1986. Sadly this is an official dead mall.

I usually try to find the older buildings that are low rise that don't have the budget to modernize. Just enough to keep them running and,safe for riders

looks like m.k got there hands on this gem by that nameplate at the top of the cab very beautiful elevator and for me its rare to see hydraulics level when the door opens ive only seen it on tractions

Very nice elevator, and I didn't know hydraulic elevators existed in the 1950's.
