US presidents used to visit the people for a certain time of day on the lawn of the White House. In the afternoon anyone could go and visit the president and discuss any problem with the president. I think that our politicians would do well to put those old practices into practice nowadays because if they fear their own people enough that they have to have secret service than they are no longer representatives of the people but dictators bending the people to their will.

@bigtex1453 ya right when Obama was running i caught him saying a few times that we have to impose taxes on foreign goods to bring jobs back to america did say it to much but said it a few times while running for his campaine and i almost voted for him good think i didn't vote at all Obama didn't do or try to do any of the good stuff he said and me being young almost bought in to it but i didnt vote and glad i didnt and ron paul will be the only one that has ernd my vote and that it
