  • you have to define the soul... the bible teaches that a persons soul is made up of the will, emotions and the mind. when a body dies it is assigned an eternal body that houses these components of the individual, either in heaven, or if a person so decides, in hell. no one is in hell unless he wants to be. everyone makes a choice.

  • @jbooks888 You obviously don't understand what I'm saying here; right now there are Islamic countries where people are FORCED to be Muslim, where people are brought up to accept Islam as truth with no room for interpretation. These people are forced, via societal pressures, to make the "wrong" choice if, say, Christianity is true. My point is that God has to know that souls in certain countries have a 99.9% chance to grow up believing the wrong religion.

  • I've asked Christians this before. I couldn't imagine what their responses would be. You know what response I got? It was horrifying. The response was, "That's why we need to evangelize. We need to get God's word out there to people who haven't heard it and convert them." Scary, isn't it?

  • @PainefulMass "Quick, we need to save people from our loving God's psychotic behaviour! Because He loves us!
