WELCOME to the FIRST ever motion comic made with real actors on animated backgrounds.

The third and final video I had to do for the MEDI 252 Module was to create a something new for tv.

PITCH
There has been many live action and animated movies made based on comic book heroes and characters.
There has also been a few animated comics or motion comics. For example Dead space, I am Legend and Watchmen: the Motion Comic.
These are when the panels of a comic book have been brought to life with small amounts of movement and sound. For example the only motion in a motion comic is rain drops, lighting or a swing of an arm. Very small movement.
So my idea is to make something in the middle... A motion comic with real people...
something that bridges the gap. Something in between a comic book and films such as "Sin City".
This, as far as I know, has not happened in Hollywood or other big productions.
This is a good idea because it is very cost effective, and the possibilities for different storylines are endless.
Cost effective because anything like special effects will just have to be added to one frame instead of 30 frames per second. All you need is picture editing software.
Using real people also would mean that the audience can feel more attached to the characters, also people say that a human's expression is the hardest thing to draw. Real actors can speed up the production.
Here is an example, with a quick photo of an actor, the image can be quickly edited and the actor can be placed anywhere you want...
thank you.

But the idea is that this type of media would work best with a serious plot, a narrative that has to mean something...
So for the narrative I will be wanting to use, this show should be places after nine in the afternoon.
any other genres such as comedy, drama and horror can also use this format.

  • Very good presentation. The dystopia theme isn't my cup of tea, but a job well done.
