Hippie, um, what? Why would gay adoption be something to argue against? Same-sex adoptions are already legal, and hopefully we won't see organized witch hunts of people trying to take away people's children and nullify their parental rights. How awful that would be!

My conservative hussband used to be gay and lead the immoral and repulsive homsoexual lifestyle, back during his rebelious high school days, but he found Jesus and was converted into a normal straight man after attending a Christian bootcamp run by Exodus Ministries. Now he no longer craves the manflesh and is the happily married father of 3 non-gay boys! And he keeps saying he hates faggots! All you liberals can kiss my ass with your immoral acceptance of this disgusting gay lifestyles!

You see, gays do not want recognition from the church, they want recognition from the state. There is a difference. It is called a 'civil marriage'. Look it up, please. You don't have to be married by a preist. You can go to town hall. Is it not great that for once, religion is not influencing public policy.

in god we trust was not added until the later, in fact, most of the founding fathers were very anti- christian such as Thomas Jefferson who was quoted as saying "Religions are all alike - founded upon fables and mythologies." and Benjamin Franklin who said "Lighthouses are more helpful than churches." Most were thought to be agnostic, and several could even have been atheist. Please consider reading up before you say stuff like that.

No, it wasn't. Neither God nor Christianity is mentioned in the Constitution.
Connecticut has always been the leader in free and equal rights in the US.
