omg thts why i DO NOT want to be an airplane flyer!!! lol

Shane Antaya (The Pilot killed), steered his plane as best he could to stay away from the crowd. He never ejected. Dan Dempsey was fortunate enough to be able to eject. I remember some people at the time criticizing Dempsey for ejecting but considering noone was in the path of his plane when he ejected what should he have done? The only bright side is that no civillians lost their lives as a result. RIP.

@00Billy Aspirating Nimrod that crashed in Lake Ontario in fact that is not known is the pilot flying that aircraft and was told by reliable source that formed briefing that morning in Toronto Pearson airport said you're going to see something that you will never forget. To this day I'm not quite sure what he meant some of those pilots and met so many of them are hot dog.pilots they love to push the edge. I'm convinced that he did not do that intentionally however the result was a catastrophe.

I believe that you may have found a piece of canape which is a hors d'œuvre in your backyard but when it comes to a Canope forget it. None of the crash of the snowbirds happened in building areas I understand that you may be fascinated by airshows, but don't make up stories to be important. I worked long enough for the snowbirds since 1971 when we put the first thing together to know every single crash and I met most of the crew over the years. So have a good life

this was 1989 Capt. Shawn and Antaya crashed in Lake Ontario after touching the wingtip of Snowbirds 1 Maj. Dan Dempsey. Dempsey survived is only comment when he reached the hospital was somebody give me some clothing.
Shane is missed by all but that's our job this is what we do and ask any Snowbird pilot if every other chance to meet them they would not want to do anything else in the world.
