  • Arent the Flowmaster 40's terrible flowing mufflers? Esp. for an engine of that caliber?

  • @jayrod2 We've heard that flowmasters arent the best flowing muffler out there, but that doesnt matter when you get the awesome sound the flows produce. This car isnt raced, so switching mufflers just to get a few extra horses isnt worth the hassle, or worth blowing the money we the people dont have these days...

  • What is the quarter mile time?

  • @MattheWisdom

The car has never been to the track.... Some day im sure it will see the track but only an 1/8th mile at a time...... Thats all we have close by is an 1/8th mile track :(

  • not a tru ss but damn that is one sexy car....whats the color on that? right now i have seafrost green on mine and really dont like it...

  • @WESTINV

You're right, its not a True SS. Its just a malibu ;)...... Im not 100% sure on the exact color, my father painted this car about 15 years ago....

  • that thing doesnt lope as much as I thought it would for how big that cam is, but then again flowmasters drown out a lot of the tin-y lope sound that you get with a big street cam.

    Nicely done!

    I'm putting a Howards solid cam in my 466 Ford. 244/254 @ .050" 294/304 total and .588/.605 lift on a 112 lobe. Rpm range 2400-6200.

Thats a big jump from the 219/227 @ .050 262/268 total .540/.554 lift HFT cam thats in my 390 right now. But a welcome jump nonetheless...

  • Very nicely done.

  • One of the best engine compartments I've ever seen. Very nice paint and body too! Still waiting to finish my 68 :(

  • I hope one day my 62 nova will be this amazing.

  • @Badchevee1 Let me know what your 60 ft. times are when you go...
