@Tgoode318 Yeah a callaway engine is probably a hard one to come by, if you wanted to use a V8 why not just use the 414hp, 380lb 4l V8 that comes in the new M3 and keep it a bmw? You could probably find an M3 thats totaled cheaper than you could get a wrecked hsv shipped from aus. They do have badass cars over there though, kinda sucks that GM and Ford make better cars for Aus than they do for us. I'd also say a mustang 5.0 is worse than an ls1 in a beemer, but im a GM guy when im not a bmw guy.
@millakilla i was talking about the 350hp and 365lb version not the one found in GM F-Body also an ausy version has 382hp and a Callaway modified version named "C4B" was fitted to HSV GTS models producing 402 bhp any ways yah the mounting points would be much easier to figure out and also putting an ls1 is considered butchering by many but idk to each his own the m3 engine is awesome 2
The S52 came stock in an e36 M3 (post 96), if I were doing a swap I'd take the S54 because its lighter and more powerful than an LS1, and the mounting points would be much easier to figure out being that its still an i-6 with a similar block. The LS1 probably has more ultimate potential, being that its bigger and has more pistons, but your claims are a little off.
guess what ocbjoint ls1 takes a shit on the m3 engine which is underpowered also the v8 weighs less which is better for handling oh also the torque is insane compared to m3 engine
LOL. This video gets 15,000 views and a BMW meet video I HAVE ON HERE with over 25 E39 M5s together only gets 700 views. Man.
