this film is from 1940, and thats around the same time edgerton invented the high speed motion camera, but Harold Edgerton was making high speed stills since 1926 just using a strobe light, this was even before a proper shutter was produced.

@Catcam2000 Roughly the same time as the first camera - late 1800s.
