Bruce Mau is the founder and creative director of Bruce Mau Design, with offices in Toronto and Chicago. His design work has ranged from books to art museums, public parks and retail stores. He has collaborated on several projects with the renowned architects Frank Gehry and Rem Koolhaas, and, with Koolhaas, co-authored the groundbreaking design book S, M, L, XL. Mau was the director and curator of Massive Change, an exhaustive study of the future of design, and in 2010 he will serve as the inaugural creative director of the Denver Biennial of the Americas, which will focus on using participatory and collaborative design to tackle some of major global challenges of today.
