Here is a clip from that I found of the Japanese version of Voltron. The clip is from a fight in the Arena on planet Doom during the first episode.

It should be noted that although these shots were cut from the English version (which is fortunate for viewers with weak stomachs), the corpses of the gladiators were still shown, so at least the deaths were acknowledged.

Yep. This show was FAR more brutal and violent than we thought it was. In fact, this is nothing like the US translation that we've come to know back in the day.

Actually each each beatsman.
They're names in the series, the creatures that the Galra Empire trains to kill, are called Deathblack Beastman.
In one episode, they find an entire planet of them with only one survivor, a female Beastman. She actually befriends Shorty (his nickname; Pidge of course in the English language dub/butchering of it), and she helps him before Hanerva (Hagger) sadly fatally wounds here. They're perverted and made more evil trhough her Occult Sceience.

Ok changes the names,change the music but they should keep the original story without cut scenes
