In July 1973 the Wallasey Arts Society displays it's work for the general public. Taking an inevitable Sunday stroll along New Brighton promenade.

The artists display their pictures along the railings of Vale Park.

  • i can remember the paintings hanging on the fence

  • A lovely trip down memory lane. I think I recognise the 2 boys carrying paintings from the green reliant near the beginning of the video - Me and My brother!

Each Sunday we used to help our dad hang pictures on the railings. Dad's name was Alan Franks - a keen and talented local artist. For confirmation, I would love to see an original copy of the video to get a better view of the 2 boys, the dad, and the paintings being carried. Can anybody help?
