At this point, we had turned south along the West coast of Ireland, heading from County Donegal down to Sligo, through the night in Co. Mayo and into Co. Galway the following morning. Joe was still leading World Champion, Fabio Baisiolo, and was cranking away to keep and widen the lead. The entire support crew had an almost undeniable feeling that there wasn't any way Joe could not win the Race Around Ireland... but we weren't yet half-way around the island. The hardest part was still to come.
