Fight for the Avatar: The Last Airbender, Not the Movie

Fans of the television series Avatar: The Last Airbender have been so pre-occupied with raging over casting news for the upcoming live action film "The Last Airbender," that they have forgotten that the movie is not what is really worth fighting for. A 4th season of the animated show would be so much more rewarding than a live action movie to the devoted fans.

Our goal is to motivate enough people to aid in our persuasion of creators Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko to bring back the writing, voice acting and animating teams for a 4th, post-war season of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The creators need to know how passionate the fans are about this. Bryan said they were afraid the story would get "stale." However, Avatar Aang's and Firelord Zuko's stories have just begun. Should we just let the rest of their stories go untold?

You may wonder "what could a season 4 possibly accomplish"? The next video will have a little bit on that, but Avatar is not your typical Nickelodeon show, e.g. Spongebob. Avatar has a deep world and deep stories have and will continue to come from it. The job of any TV writer is to create plot and stories, it's not for us to decide. The writers apparently had ideas for season 4, and could make it work.

It would be a shame for these ideas to go untapped. So who is up for it? Leave a comment on the video and you are welcome to subscribe to this channel as well, for there will be many more videos to come on this topic.

Just think about it: are the movies what we should really be fighting for? If the effort that has been put into the "Aang Ain't White" movement was put into a season 4, we would have no problem convincing Mike and Bryan.

I agree. I'm getting tired of people just assuming that the fan outcry is not going to do anything to get the cast changed. We're making a huge effort to get this whitewashed cast removed! The media is even starting to take notice. At the rate this is going, Paramount is going to have to change their cast or deal with alot of pissed off people.

There's hope, you know. They're making a new series of Avatar, called the Legend of Korra. It'll be set in the Avatar world, but a different avatar, Korra of the Southern Water Tribe. You can find all of the information on it at Avatar wiki.

unfortunatly M.Night Shamalan and Hollywood wont change their minds. as critical i it may seem they have already started filming season 2 believe it or Not! so the cast and everything is pretty much set. they said over the next six years (every 2yrs a film will be out) ATLA will be made. i like your idea though and great video! ^^

ffs! i actually dont give a shit where the actors are from (and neither should you cus it doesnt matter shit) as long as they look as the characters do in the anime. Unfortunetly, they picked actors that mostly dont even RESEMBLE the characters. Where the actors are from doesnt mean ANYTHING so stop bitching about their origin and start bitching about their appearance compared to the characters! Even if all actors were asian the movie would still suck if they dont look like the characters.

I am so mad. I'd rather have a book 4 than a stupid live action movie. This is stupid! There's so many loose ends, like, what happened to Zuko's mother? And what about Aang and Katara's future? This is getting me frustrated. Avatar book 4 all the way!
