  • I live 8 KM away from the downtown core, but will usually take the Martin Goodman trail by the Lakeshore, extending my route to 12 KM.

My apartment building is across the street from the subway station. My extended route is still faster than the subway.

I'd bet that anybody who can ride a bike and lives 15 KM from their place of work would likely end up enjoying their commute.

  • I cycle to work almost every day. Smell great and change into my business casual clothes when I get there. I arrive to work with much more energy than my driving / transit taking colleagues.

On really warm days or days when I want a workout before the office, I shower at the gym, which is right down the street from the office. I could also shower at the office, as my employer had the forethought to include showers in the lounge washrooms.
