Do ladybugs 'bite'? I friend once yelped (Yelped?) when she was holding a ladybug. She said it had hurt her, it felt as if she was bit.

A secret I learned from a baker on the candy melts with the lollipop sticks... roll the end of the lolli stick in cornstarch..shake off all the excess... you really shouldn't see it on the stick at all... it makes the stick adhere to the chocolate melts better... if you get any cornstarch on the surface just brish it off when the chocolate melts set :)

I am developing a new-found love for candy melts but Im having a recurring problem--I can not get the white to melt correctly. Its like it burns QUICK. When I try using white chocolate morsels, it never melts properly either--is there a difference? I usually melt in 30 second intervals at 50% power...any suggestions?

@simplelivinprims I have the same issues with the white burning faster than the other colours. I suggest you microwave like you are doing but stop when the melts feel uniformly hot to the touch (keep massaging the bag/stirring the melts as you heat) add some vegetable shortening or low-taste oil to them and stir. This should thin them out.
They have a tendency heat but not melt without the added fat.
