She seems like a great person to be running such a large department. You can see a real sense of passion and compassion in her words and mannerisms. Really glad Christie saw what a great asset he had in Velez and chose to reappoint her. hopefully, when he wins he will do so again. This is how bipartisan govt should work. Regardless of party affiliation, the most qualified should get the job. Perhaps Velez might join a future Christie admin. in the Whitehouse.
