I am afraid that Parisinian polytic men would destroy occitan in order to make all France french-speaking. Newspapers, Televisions, Cinamatographic companies do not like that there re "too meny languages" in a Country, because it means : too many expenses! In my view You Occitan are to fight against this bad intention. In my view, Occitan is more delightful to hear than official French...

@hailvishnu It's quite close to Northern Italian Dialects, as they are still used in Piemonte, Liguria, Lombardia, Emilia Romagna, (Northern Italian Regions). Official Italian is quite different since it comes directly from Old Tuscan, a Central Italian Dialect (and Region).

@menglinhai On m'a dit qu'ils sont assez distinctes. On dit que l'occitan est plus proche a` l'italien. (Moi, je suis Americain, donc je n'en sais presque rien nonplus.)

sono italiano, a volte mi sembra più facile capire l'occitano che il francese, fa una strana impressione, alcune parole sembrano molto simili all'italiano, altre allo spagnolo, è una bella scoperta per me, come il romancio dei Grigioni Svizzeri, il mondo è più ricco di quello che gli stati nazionali ci vogliono far credere.

@fcbmartinso Oui bien sur, mais quand je disais "langues régionales", je voulais dire au sens ou tout le monde l'entend. Bien entendu, ayant toujours vécu dans le sud-ouest j'ai du mal a réellement considérer l'Occitanie comme une simple région, étant donné que j'y vie.

@Ipone0080 Perquè l'espanyol o el francès siguin llengües d'estat no vol dir que el català i l'occità siguin dues llengües "regionals". Aquesta mentalitat monolingüe destrossa els pobles i les llengües. Occitània i Catalunya són dues nacions.
